Self-produced and initially released in an edition of 1000 copies on William Parker's own Centering Records, the album was sold exclusively at gigs and through mail-order. It quickly sold out. In April of 2002, AUM Fidelity issued a second edition of 2000 copies in digipak format, making the album widely available. This edition too sold out within the year. It is now available again in a third edition of 3000 copies. O'Neal's Porch is a tremendously gorgeous, deeply swinging, and highly inspired recording which brings great joy to all who hear it; destined to be a stone classic of this era. - SJ |
